Philly Startup Leaders COVID-19 Update
Dear Philly Startup Leaders Community,
We know that many of you in the PSL community are dealing with a lot of fear, anxiety, and hard questions due to COVID-19. We empathize with all entrepreneurs in Philadelphia and are here to support you.
Please use the PSL Slack community to share any business concerns you have during this time. Specifically, the #covid-19-business-support channel is available to you if you have questions or ideas related to this topic.
As a small non-profit, Philly Startup Leaders’ relies significantly on our events to sustain the organization. Now that we have to postpone activities, including Entrepreneur Expo during Philly Tech Week, we are working diligently to maintain stability for the organization while continuing to add value to the community.
Here’s how the PSL community can support each other:
Join the PSL Slack community to engage with other startup leaders in Philadelphia.
Share your virtual events on the PSL community calendar.
Offer your expertise by meeting virtually with those who need it most.
Here’s what the PSL staff are working on:
Developing a database of startup leaders who are able and willing to grab a virtual coffee to support you.
Launching an “Ask Me Anything” series on PSL Slack in the #help channel.
Sharing information we receive on business support from the public and private sectors as they become available.
Working with sponsors, service providers, and investors on creative ways to support startups during this difficult time and beyond.
Partnering with startups and corporations to share job openings.
Thank you for being part of the PSL community. We are confident that we will get through this together by taking care of ourselves, loved ones, and each other.
Do you have additional ideas on how PSL can add value? We are all ears! And if you come across resources for non-profits during this time, please send them our way. Email the PSL Team at engage@phillystartupleaders.org.
P.S. Please share how your business has been impacted by COVID-19 with the City of Philadelphia and PIDC via the Business Impacts of COVID-19 Survey. Update: City Announces New Restrictions on Business Activity in Philadelphia.
With Love and Gratitude,
Kiera Smalls
Executive Director
