Join us for Volume 3 of Entrepreneurs Unplugged, the series that brings successful local entrepreneurs on stage to educate, entertain and inspire the startup community.  The format for the evening will be a 30 minute presentation followed by audience participation – come out for a night of fun and to have your startup questions answered.

Volume 3 features Tal Raviv, founder of DropCard. Dropcard is a Philly based lead-management tool. Tal is hilarious and wicked smart, so we expect this will be an Entrepreneurs Unplugged for the ages.

Tal Raviv’s Going commando: Counter intuitive lessons in entrepreneurship

* Why competition may be the best thing that could happen to your idea
* How to get everything you need for free
* Why staying up on tech news and social media is a waste of time
* You learned the most important lesson in entrepreneurship in fifth grade
* There’s only one thing correct in your business plan
* The real role of a “visionary CEO” in an early startup
* There’s only three possible benefits your business can provide
* Why all this also applies to nonprofits and social ventures

Bio:
Tal Raviv founded Dropcard, a lead management tool, at Dreamit Ventures class of ’08. The company changes its plan twice an hour and the team bootstraps more than Macgyver.

Tal is most proud of his ocean kayaking adventures with sharks, shipwrecks, and sea caves; sleeping on the great wall of China; and instigating a protest against activism. He accomplished all this despite his chemical engineering degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Tal is also starting up a scalable, cheap, resilience intervention program at Graterford State Prison, and holds the Guinness world record for the largest ball of tape.
