The entrepreneur will be provided with a table and a couple of chairs in which they can set up a demonstration of their work. At this table, the Entrepreneur will interact with the people attending the event in a “trade-show” like setting. It’s a chance to network and to talk about the work they are doing.

Basic Guidelines:

  • Tell Your Story: Provide a story by which the idea has either become or is becoming a reality; include the genesis of the idea and the path to bringing that idea to reality; there will be many participants, so be prepared to do this a multiple of times
  • It’s Not a Sales Pitch: This is not meant to sell the product or idea to the guest
  • Seek and Give Advice: Network with participants – look to offer insights on how the journey has been navigated; also seek advice should the participant so offer
  • Interact: Actively engage with each other and the participants; this is a three-hour event, so plan to staff the table accordingly; make time to interact with other entrepreneurs and participants in the Hall; go see a presentation or two; seek to network and make long-term contacts

What should you bring? Whatever you believe is necessary and appropriate to demonstrate your company. You’ll have a table to put you boards/materials/demo/etc. Create something that is eye-catching and draws attendees to your table.

What should you expect? As you draw people to your table, get ready to tell your story multiple times. Look to meet people and network.  Most importantly, expect to show off your accomplishments!
