Wanted: Hackers, Designers and Writers for PSL 2.0 Weekend
Blake Jennelle on Sep 28th 2009
From the beginning, PSL has always been a community-powered organization. Every event, initiative, technology and communication tool has been created by all of you, the volunteers who make up our community. So in this spirit, and in honor of PSL’s 2 year anniversary, we’re announcing our biggest collaborative project yet.
PSL 2.0 Weekend is an open hack on the technologies and communications that hold us together as a community. In one weekend, we are going to:
1. Redesign our web presence
2. Rewrite our core documents
3. Develop new communication and collaboration tools to bring the regional tech community even closer together
No one knows exactly what will come out of it. All we know for sure is that with so much brainpower and know-how in one room, it’s going to be awesome.
We want to see you there. If you’re a hacker, designer or writer, this is a great opportunity to meet and collaborate with your peers — all stars in the Philly scene — on a vision you dream up together. It’s also going to be blast. By day we’ll be cranking away on our projects, and by night we’ll be watching improv comedy and parading around Philly in a geek entourage that’s sure to turn heads.
This is an all-weekend event, and we ask you to be there for as much of it as you can.
Please e-mail info@phillystartupleaders.org if you’d like to participate. Be sure to mention whether you’ll be attending the whole weekend or part of it, and whether we should reserve you a ticket for the comedy show on Saturday night.
